The regional forum of agro-classes was held in Vitebsk
The main goal of the two-day event is to strengthen the interaction between state management bodies and educational institutions in ensuring the systematic training of highly qualified personnel for the agricultural sector of the economy by popularizing agricultural professions and achievements of the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region and Belarus.
One of the central events of the first day of the forum was the exhibition of agrarian classes, secondary vocational and higher education institutions "Agro-Professions Exchange", which was evaluated by the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Linevich. Speakers at the dialogue platform "Agro-Industrial Complex of the Vitebsk Region: Innovations and Prospects" included the Chairman of the Liozno District Executive Committee Ivan Fyodorov, Rector of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine Nikolay Gavrichenko, Deputy General Director for Industrial and Agricultural Production of UP "Vitebskoblgaz" Konstantin Pochepko, Deputy General Director for Agriculture of OJSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm" Nadezhda Gribanova.
Schoolchildren also took a tour of the veterinary academy and organized a flash mob "This is Our Choice!". A case session was organized for teachers of agrarian classes to share their experience.
The students visited enterprises and organizations in the regional center and the Vitebsk district, where they will learn about the latest production technologies and innovative approaches in agricultural development.

The students visited OJSC "Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant," production facilities of UP "Rudakovo," SHP "MazolovoGaz" of UP "Vitebskoblgaz," and OJSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm," where they learned about the latest production technologies and innovative approaches in agricultural development.
At the summing-up session, the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, called the forum an important event for those preparing to choose agricultural professions. The agricultural sector has deservedly become one of the most high-tech, whether it be agronomy, animal husbandry, or especially veterinary medicine, which utilizes the most advanced developments in genomics, chemistry, and biology. Alexander Subbotin, a graduate of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine 25 years ago, characterized agricultural professions as very promising, stating that humanity's food supply depends on them, and any specialized university will provide a start for self-realization and personal development.
The head of the region awarded diplomas to the winners of the competition in various nominations. The best in the team event were recognized as Pervomaysky district of Vitebsk, Shumilinsky and Braslavsky districts.
Dmitry Khoma, head of the main department for education of the regional executive committee, expressed hope that the experience and impressions gained at the forum will help in choosing a profession. He thanked all the teachers and awarded the distinguished ones.
Nikolai Gavrichenko noted that for two days the university's social networks were filled with forum events and feedback from students and their parents. He wished the schoolchildren good studies and a profession that suits their soul.
Today, there are 185 agricultural classes in the schools of the Vitebsk region, with 1585 students enrolled.
