165 people were injured in industrial accidents, which is 16.7 percent less compared to 2022. The level of industrial traumatism (the number of workplace injuries per thousand employees) was 0.47.
The largest number of industrial accidents with loss of working capacity for one day or more and fatal outcomes occurred in organizations in Vitebsk (44 injured), in the Orsha district – 16 injured, in the Vitebsk district – 15, in Novopolotsk – 13.
Among the cities and districts of the region, a significantly higher level of industrial traumatism was noted in 2023 in the Tolochin, Dubrovno, Vitebsk, and Shumilino districts. The lowest level was in the Dokshytsy, Miory, Ushachy, Rossony, Chashniki, and Sharkovshchina districts.
In organizations of the region in 2023, the number of deaths from industrial accidents decreased.
