8 new specialized vehicles were handed over to the Orsha Interdistrict Ambulance Center

In the Orsha district, the development of which is under the control of the country's leadership, all sectors are given special attention. The social sphere is no exception. An important event for the region was the transfer of 8 new vehicles to the Orsha Interdistrict Ambulance Center. About 1.9 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget for this.

Since last year, all ambulance services in the Vitebsk region have been integrated into a unified management system. Thus, since July 2021, the Vitebsk Regional Interdistrict Ambulance Center has been operational. Gradually, the departments of Beshenkovichi, Gorodok, Liozno, Senno, and Shumilino districts, as well as Vitebsk district, became part of it. And since July 1 of this year, the interdistrict ambulance center in Orsha has begun functioning, comprising 4 adjacent districts: Dubrovno, Orsha, Tolochin, and Chashniki.

Minister of Health of Belarus Dmitry Pinevich congratulated everyone on the holiday, as this event can be called:

– This event is not only for Orsha, but for everyone as a whole – an indicator that the ambulance service was, is, and will remain one of the main elements in the healthcare system. In the post-Soviet space, we have to some extent preserved the most important achievements of Soviet medicine and "ambulance services". It has remained state-owned, extensive, not only provides urgent, emergency medical care, but also serves as a link, including for rural areas. It is important that today we are looking at a model not only and not so much of equipment, which is undoubtedly also very important, but also of centralization. When one workstation can manage several districts, it improves efficiency and minimizes the difference between the city and remote medical centers. Belarus has 860 ambulance crews, and what we saw today in the example of Orsha is a planned step forward, the development of mobile medicine.
