The autumn conscription has started: the first dispatch of citizens to their places of active military service took place in the Vitebsk region

The conscription of citizens for active military service in August-November 2022 is carried out in accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 227 of July 4, 2022. Conscription activities are organized in accordance with the legislation, without changes.

– Over 1000 conscripts from our region are to be sent for active military service and service in the reserve, – said Alexey Nenakhov, head of the military service conscription department of the regional military commissariat. – Citizens who fail to appear for military conscription activities without valid reasons and evade military duty will be held liable in accordance with the legislation of Belarus.

Representatives of the commissariat, the public organization of soldiers' mothers, the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, and the church gave parting words to the recruits.

— The main task for citizens called up for active military service and service in the reserve is to obtain a military accounting specialty, — said Sergey Kunakhovets, Deputy Military Commissar of the region. — In connection with the partial mobilization in Russia, fakes about hidden mobilization in Belarus have appeared on the Internet. There is no such concept. No unplanned mobilization activities are currently being carried out. Military training sessions are held traditionally, with up to 50 people planned to be sent there. Activities related to checking military registration are also planned.

– Today, young people have to serve in difficult times, the situation on the country's borders is tense, – emphasized Sergey Denisov, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Public Association "Belarusian Union of Officers", retired Captain 2nd Rank. – Therefore, it is necessary to master the military accounting specialty with special zeal in order to defend the Motherland if necessary.

Guards Private Matvey Pakholchuk, a serviceman of the 103rd Vitebsk Separate Guards Airborne Brigade, added that full dedication is important when undergoing military service in the army.

– A man is one who takes on the solution of difficult tasks for his family, society, and state, – Father Alexander addressed the conscripts. – You will learn this in the army. Be proud that the state trusts you with the people. Prove that you are worthy of it.

Among the recruits is Danila Kantur, who will serve for one year. The young man studied at the Belarusian State University of Chemical and Food Technologies in Mogilev. He is being sent to Minsk to the honor guard company.

– I am proud that I will be serving here, – said Danila.

On the first day, conscripts will join the ranks of the special operations forces, the 72nd Combined Arms Training Center, and the Minsk Military Commandant's Office. The dispatch of new recruits from the regional (Minsk city) assembly points will continue until November 4 – to the Armed Forces, and until November 30 – to other troops and military formations.

The ceremony of taking the Military Oath by the newly arrived recruits in the formations and military units of the Armed Forces will take place on November 19.

The demobilization of servicemen who have completed their terms of compulsory military service will be carried out in accordance with the legislation in a timely manner, in October-November.
