The main messages and significance of the VII All-Belarusian People's Congress were discussed during a round table at the Vitebsk Region Media Center
— Currently, the topic of war and peace is the most important one. We received answers to these questions from the President and high-ranking officials, — explained Gleb Lapitsky, General Director of the State Institution "Center of Culture "Vitebsk", member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. — That our country, in accordance with the Concept of National Security and the Military Doctrine, occupies only a defensive position, we do not intend to attack anyone, ever. But all our opponents should know that if necessary, our Armed Forces and all our people are ready to repel any attack.
Gleb Lapitsky highly praised the involvement of the younger generation in the work of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.
— A cause that does not involve youth has no future, — he believes. — Moreover, it is important not just to get involved, but to act. And if we all move in the same direction, then society as a whole will move forward.
Valentina Bogatyreva, Rector of VSU named after P. Masherov, Chairperson of the regional branch of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus", also touched upon the theme of societal consolidation.
— I have already spoken with young people about the most important strategic documents adopted at the All-Belarusian People's Assembly, about the need for national unity, — she noted. — An important message voiced by the head of state is to transfer power to the next generation through an evolutionary path, to the generation with whom we will live in the future, those who will soon take our places. Therefore, young people need not only to be explained the situation that is developing on the external perimeter of Belarus, but also to be told about the importance of maintaining stability and forming a monolithic society within the country. Opponents must clearly understand: our people's assembly is a message to the entire world community that Belarus must be reckoned with, that we have our own policy, our own socio-economic development vector, which we will adhere to. And time has shown that this is an effective vector.
Valentina Bogatyreva spoke about the "Time of the Strong" project, which the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" initiated after discussing the results of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly.
— The main task of the "Belaya Rus" party is political education. This is exactly what we will be doing, — she explained, adding that work in this direction is already underway. An example is the project "The Modern World Order: Foundations and Factors," which is being implemented jointly with the regional newspaper "Vitebskiye Vesti."
Another speaker at the meeting in the Media Center was the Military Commissar of the Vitebsk Region, Dmitry Volfovich. He commented on the situation on Belarus's borders and the changes made to the Military Doctrine of our state. The key addition to the document concerns the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of Belarus.
— But we are not threatening anyone, — Dmitry Volfovich emphasized. — This is a means of deterrence.
