Agro-ecotourism estates in the Vitebsk region offer all kinds of active and passive recreation. Children are particularly fond of interacting with animals and animation programs, while adults enjoy relaxing by picturesque lakes, including kayaking trips. Sports and patriotic events are also held. This was reported by Olga Fyodorova, chief specialist of the department of sports and tourism of the regional executive committee.

– One of the most striking examples of agro-ecotourism estates' work in the Vitebsk region is the agro-ecotourism cluster "Velisov Put" in the Gluboksky district, – emphasized Olga Fyodorova. – They offer a wide range of services, for example, national cuisine, a mini-zoo, cheese-making master classes, dog sledding, souvenir weaving, and so on.

The interlocutor also provided some other examples of effective work of agro-ecotourism estates.

For instance, "Ustye Life" (Braslav district) offers an animation route with a quest "Rustagovsky Shlyakh". It includes an exciting hike around the village of Ustye with treasure hunting using ancient maps, amulet weaving, studying old newspapers, and learning old Belarusian dances. As part of the celebration of the folk holiday "Kupalye", the agro-ecotourism estate hosts master classes on weaving Kupalye wreaths, games, contests, Kupalye songs, a round dance around a bonfire, and launching wreaths down the river.

At the agro-ecotourism estate "MOTO REZERVATION" in the Senno district, events dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War are regularly held, in particular, the tank battle "Lepelsky Kontrudar", motorcycle festivals, and extreme competitions, including those in strength sports.

By the way, information about agro-ecotourism estates in the Vitebsk region and the events held there is regularly posted on the official websites of the regional executive committee, district executive committees, in social networks and messengers. Estate owners also advertise their services at international tourism exhibitions in Belarus and abroad.

And the work to promote such tourism is bearing fruit. For example, last year, agro-ecotourism estates in the Vitebsk region were visited by guests from 18 countries. The largest number of vacationers were from Belarus, followed by Russia, and then Latvia. In addition, guests from China, Germany, and some other far-abroad countries regularly visit.

For reference: There are 162 subjects of agro-ecotourism and 167 agro-ecotourism estates registered in the Vitebsk region. The largest number of such estates operate in the Gluboksky (32), Postavsky (27), Vitebsky (18), and Miorsky (14) districts.
