The first batch of harvesters after overhaul has been sent to farms in the Vitebsk region

Первая партия комбайнов после восстановительного ремонта отправилась в хозяйства Витебской области
The first batch of 8 forage harvesters, after refurbishment at Zapadno-Dvinysky Mezhrayagrotekhservis JSC, was dispatched today to farms in six districts of the Vitebsk region.

The Vitebsk enterprise was the first in Belarus to master this type of activity, as a result of which complex agricultural machinery is effectively given a second life. This new initiative for the Vitebsk region was marked by a ceremony with the participation of heads of the Committee for Agriculture and Food, the state association "Vitebsky Concern "Meat and Dairy Products", and agro-service enterprises of the region.

The handover of the equipment took place at the joint-stock company's site. Having received the documentation packages in an official setting, the machine operators once again felt the significance of the moment and realized the degree of responsibility for the complex machinery entrusted to them. It is no coincidence that, while addressing the ceremony participants, the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Agricultural Committee Mikhail Pridibaylo drew the attention of the farms' engineering services to the importance of technical maintenance, urging machine operators to make quality service a law, so that "machines with remaining service life give their maximum during field operations."

The initiative to organize the restoration of decommissioned complex machinery belongs to the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Boris Efremov. Funds were found from the regional budget to address the important task of updating the machine fleet. According to the Chairman of the Committee for Agriculture and Food of the Regional Executive Committee, Sergey Egorov, about 5 million rubles have been allocated for these purposes since the beginning of 2021. For comparison, Sergey Vasilievich provided the following data: purchasing the same number of new machines would have cost farms approximately 2 times more.

The benefit is obvious. Therefore, enterprises of the Vitebsk region are aiming to increase their capacity for restoration repairs. Today, the crews of "Zapadno-Dvininsky Mezhrayagrotechservice" are bringing another 4 machines back to life. In addition, a repair program for 28 units of forage harvesting equipment alone has already been formed. In the future, the enterprise should repair 5-6 harvesters every month. This mainly concerns models KVK-800 and KVK-8060 – these machines bear the main load of fodder harvesting.

In total, since the beginning of 2021, specialized enterprises have repaired about 200 units of agricultural machinery and mechanisms, including mowers, fertilizer spreaders, etc. The experience and developments of the Vitebsk region in organizing the restoration repair of agricultural machinery have been positively assessed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food during a recent republican seminar-meeting held at OAO "Vitebsk Motor Repair Plant".
