Almost 160 people have been directed by the Vitebsk region employment service for vocational training
For January–March 2021, 158 people were referred by the regional employment service for vocational training, including 63 people with a guarantee of subsequent employment.
Training was carried out in the following professions: electrical fitter, forklift driver, plumber, cook, salesperson. Unemployed individuals also mastered the training course program "Fundamentals of Business Planning", after which 17 people who completed the training received a subsidy to start their own business.
Vocational training, retraining of unemployed and other categories of citizens, and their acquisition of the educational program content of training courses
The Employment Service Offers and Guarantees:
- free medical examination upon enrollment for training;
- free training in new professions to provide citizens with the opportunity to acquire the professional knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for resuming (starting) work activities, taking into account public needs and in accordance with their inclinations, abilities, skills, and psychophysical development characteristics;
- payment of a stipend during the training period;
- provision of material assistance during training in the manner established by law;
- payment of travel expenses and costs associated with accommodation for citizens sent for training to another locality;
- at the request of the unemployed person – training with a guarantee of subsequent employment, provided there are employer requests.
Citizens who have successfully completed their training are issued relevant documents of the established sample.

Labor, employment, and social protection bodies may fully or partially compensate employers, UIS institutions, and LTPs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the costs of vocational training for:
- employees subject to redundancy,
- obligated persons,
- redundant employees or employees seeking work for the first time,
- persons involved in labor,
