The festive concert became the final chord of the regional festival "Youth for Peace and Creation"
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, addressed the youth with a welcoming speech.
– Summer is not only a time for rest and educational trips, but also a time for youth labor achievements. I am glad that today at the festival we are handing out vouchers for a working summer, to prove in practice how strong your aspirations for creation are. The student team movement is one of the best areas of work that the BRSM has taken over from the Komsomol, – noted the head of the Vitebsk region. – 2023 is rich in anniversary dates. This year we celebrate the 85th anniversary of the creation of the Vitebsk region, the 105th anniversary of the All-Union Leninist Young Communist League, the 60th anniversary of the Belarusian Student Teams.
Alexander Mikhailovich emphasized that student teams make a significant contribution to the economy and social sphere of our country. Every year, the youth employment movement grows and expands its areas of activity. Student teams become a real school of life for young people, form leadership qualities, an active civic position, and foster true patriots of our Motherland.
The head of the region announced that the construction of a polyclinic in the new district of Orsha received the status of a regional youth construction project, and wished the guys to continue developing volunteer programs, participate in projects related to the improvement of cities and villages, preserve the historical memory of the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War, and create for the sake of socially useful work.
The First Secretary of the BRSM, Alexander Lukyanov, thanked the regional and city executive committees and the young people for holding such a large-scale youth festival.
– May this summer be important and memorable for each of you. Use all the opportunities you have today, – the youth leader advised the young men and women.
Vouchers for the labor summer were presented to the territorial headquarters of the BRSM student detachments by the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov and the First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the BRSM Vladimir Babichev.
The consolidated student detachment of Vitebsk region performed the anthem of the Belarusian student detachments.
Also, as part of the event, a premiere of a song dedicated to the Youth Union took place, performed by the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Aurum".
Creative groups from Vitebsk presented bright performances and a lot of positive emotions to all attendees. The headliner of the event was the charming singer, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Alena Lanskaya.
