Vitebsk region's student detachments received vouchers for a working summer
The Belarusian Republican Youth Union provides broad employment opportunities, even abroad. As noted by Vladimir Babichev, First Secretary of the Regional Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, this year it is planned to employ more than 5,000 people in student detachments of various profiles.
In the summer square of the regional museum of Hero of the Soviet Union M. Shmeryov, a solemn presentation of vouchers for "Working Summer – 2021" took place. Vladimir Penin, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, gave parting words to the fighters.
– May this summer be a time for you to find a friend, communicate, and become closer, – said Vladimir Petrovich. – After all, besides work, there will be time for rest. May your work benefit you.
According to Vladimir Babichev, a student detachment is not only an opportunity to spend summer holidays in an interesting and beneficial way, but also new acquaintances, friends, invaluable experience, useful skills, good wages, and benefits from the university.
He also noted that Gagarin Street in Vitebsk and the building of the Polotsk Cadet School will become the regional youth construction projects. By the way, students of PSU, united in the first archaeological detachment, will be involved in the reconstruction and repair work of the latter.
This year, mobile student detachments will also resume their work. Recently, young people from Vitebsk will start working at the All-Russian Center "Orlyonok". There are workplaces provided for 90 students in service detachments and 14 in pedagogical detachments.
Two detachments from Polotsk State University – "Eureka" and "Zodchie" – will work at the All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project in Ostrovets from June to August.
From June to August, three detachments formed from students of VSU named after P. Masherov, VSTU, and Polotsk State University will gain work experience at the "Atlant" enterprise. It should be noted that there were many who wanted to join. Last year, the monthly salary of the detachment participants was 1000 rubles, and students were provided with free accommodation. They had the opportunity to use the gym and swimming pool.
Veteran of the Komsomol movement Zoya Krot wished the guys to pass the exam in the upcoming work semester, receive good salaries, deserved awards and respect, and return to their studies in excellent spirits.
Future student brigade members took part in a walking tour along the route Lenin Street – Suvorov Street – Regional Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union M. Shmeryov with a visit to memorable places in Vitebsk.
