Regional selections for the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" competitions will start in November

Regional selections for international competitions within the framework of the XXXIII International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" will start in November.

In Mogilev, selections will begin on November 21 at the Palace of Culture of the Region. The Minsk region will host potential contestants on November 30 at the Niasvizh District Center for Culture. On December 6, the Gomel region will make its choice on the stage of the City Center for Culture. In the Grodno State College of Arts, the lucky ones will be determined on December 7. The festival capital will host the selection on December 1, traditionally at the Vitebsk Center for Culture. The Brest region will review contestants at the Baranovichi City House of Culture on December 2. The first stage of the national selection will conclude on December 11 in Minsk at the "Verkhny Gorod" concert hall.

Performers - citizens of Belarus aged 8-14 years inclusive as of the last day of the festival, with concert performance experience, who have made themselves known through their success in international or republican music competitions and festivals, are participating in the selection round for the children's music competition. Belarusians aged 18-31 years inclusive as of the last day of the festival, with concert performance experience, who have made themselves known through their success in international or republican music competitions and festivals, are participating in the selection round for the pop song performers competition.

Two compositions are required for the audition. Participants of the children's music competition must present a pop song by a Belarusian author in the Belarusian language and a pop song of the participant's choice that most vividly reflects their performing skills and artistic abilities. Participants of the pop song performers competition must present a pop song by a composer from a Slavic country in one of the Slavic languages, as well as a popular song in a foreign language - a world hit.
