Roof repair and other issues: Subbotin held a personal reception of citizens

Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, at his first personal reception of citizens, considered appeals concerning housing and communal services and several private issues.

Three people signed up for the reception with the head of the region. Two of them concerned personal matters, and one addressed the problem of a leaking roof in a multi-story residential building in Vitebsk. The applicant told Alexander Subbotin that the roof of a nine-story building built in 1974 is leaking. The Vitebsk resident lives on the top floor. Autumn rains and spring thaws flood not only the residents of the top floor. A few years ago, heavy precipitation flooded apartments down to the sixth floor. Residents are forced to constantly repair their homes. Also, near the applicant's apartment, there is a storm drain that also requires the close attention of the employees of the servicing housing and communal services organization and serious repairs.

Yuri Dyadelo, head of the main department of housing and communal services of the regional executive committee, who was present at the reception, noted that the capital repairs in the house of the Vitebsk resident who applied had not been done for about 20 years. Now that there is an application, the housing and communal services workers will conduct an inspection and carry out roof repairs. "All work must be completed as soon as possible, before the heating is turned off and there is an opportunity to dry the apartment after all work is completed. Approach the repair comprehensively: it is necessary to repair both the roof and the storm sewer," Alexander Subbotin ordered, noting that he is taking this issue under his personal control.-0-
