The leadership of the Vitebsk region sent congratulations to veterans and residents of the region on Victory Day
Dear residents of the region!
We sincerely congratulate you on Victory Day!
May 9, 1945, entered history as the celebration of victory over fascism, a symbol of the heroism of the Soviet people, who demonstrated unity and solidarity in the fight against the enemy. Belarus will always remember the feat of the heroes – front-line soldiers, partisans, underground fighters, home front workers, all those who defended the freedom and independence of our Motherland.
In the year of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, we feel with particular strength pride for the generation of Victors and the bitterness of loss that our countrymen suffered during the Great Patriotic War.
The Vitebsk land knows the price of peace well, therefore, with our labor, we are ready to strengthen the defense capability and national heritage of our country, so that our people never know the bitterness of wartime.
Today, there are 137 veterans of the Great Patriotic War remaining in the Vitebsk region. They are an example of honor, patriotism and courage, loyalty to the Fatherland.
A deep bow to all who brought Victory closer!
Our duty and mission is to preserve the truth about the Great Patriotic War, to give a worthy rebuff to the neo-fascism that is raising its head.
We sincerely wish you, dear countrymen, health, happiness, well-being, high spirits, peace and kindness!
Sincerely,
A.M. Subbotin, D.V. Demidov,
