The leadership of the Vitebsk region discussed the fulfillment of program indicators and the development prospects of the Dokshytsy, Postavy, and Glubokoye districts

– These meetings, – said Alexander Subbotin, – help to quickly get acquainted with the people who are solving the strategic tasks of regional development and to clearly see where to go next. Thus, the state of affairs in eight regions has already been analyzed. It becomes clear where the region can offer support, and where district authorities and work collectives must make their own efforts for development. Problem areas are revealed, and we jointly decide how to get out of a particular situation or avoid falling into it.
Glubokoye is preparing for "Dazhynki". The city will become even more beautiful, houses and roads will be repaired, and festive events – concerts and festivals – will add more bright colors to the district center.
The meetings are useful, the chairman of the regional executive committee concluded. In addition to gaining a better understanding and assessment of managers, there is a good opportunity to get acquainted with the leading enterprises of the regions. In Glubokoye, these are the meat processing plant and the dairy canning plant, which should become the locomotive for the region's development.
The acquaintance with the meat processing plant began with a museum, where the director, Anatoly Duk, spoke about the development of the enterprise, which celebrated its 85th anniversary last year, and showed dozens of unique exhibits, one of which particularly attracted the guests' attention – a sausage stick that had retained its nutritional qualities for almost ten years.

We got acquainted with the production process itself in the workshops. As Deputy Production Director Elena Efimova said, everything has been modernized. Modern high-performance equipment has been installed, allowing for the production of 86 tons of meat and 10.6 tons of meat products per shift. The product range includes 150 types – from boiled, boiled-smoked, semi-smoked, dry-cured, and air-dried sausages, frankfurters, and rolls to all types of semi-finished products made from beef, pork, and dumplings. Many are produced according to "grandmother's" and "grandfather's" recipes with corresponding names that already evoke the warmth of home – "Babushkin Gostinets" (Grandmother's Gift), "Belorusskiy Gostinets" (Belarusian Gift), "Belorusskoye Ugoshcheniye" (Belarusian Treat), "Glubokskiy Gostinets" (Glubokoye Gift).
There is also a line of branded products that are produced with cherries. In the near future, according to Chief Technologist Tatyana Sakovich, products with cranberries, lingonberries, and other berries will appear.
Last year, the enterprise produced almost 58 million rubles worth of products, which is 11% more than the previous year. The production volumes of finished products increased by 7%. Product shipments for export almost doubled. They are gladly purchased not only in our country but also in the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan. The supply of products to China is seen as a promising direction for the Glubokoye enterprise.
Recently, the results of the republican competition "Best Products of the Republic of Belarus – 2021" were announced. Recognized as such were the "Belorusochka" sausage, "Basurma Pryanaya" (Spicy Basurma), air-dried pork product "Ugoshcheniye Glubokskoye" (Glubokoye Treat), and an air-dried beef product with the same name. By the way, the latter two were recognized as the tastiest among those presented at the "New Product of the Year" competition.

The development vector of the combine, as stated by its director Anatoly Duk, is aimed at further modernization and improvement of the production system to enter new sales markets.

The regional delegation also found the dairy and canned goods plant's production to be useful and interesting. The plant's collection of awards was replenished with new accolades at the republican competition "Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus" and the international exhibition "Prodexpo" in Moscow.
