An agreement on establishing friendly relations has been signed between the Vitebsk region and the Chinese province of Jiangxi

Agreements on cooperation were signed online by the head of the Vitebsk region, Alexander Subbotin, and the governor of Jiangxi province, E Jianchun.

The parties plan to develop comprehensive cooperation and contacts in the fields of trade, economy, science, technology, education, sports, healthcare, and other areas.

– We highly appreciate the level of relations between our regions, aimed at improving the well-being of the population and economic development.

Since the establishment of business cooperation with the Government of Jiangxi province, we have successfully held conferences on vocational education and training of engineering and technical personnel, and exchanged experience in combating coronavirus infection.

Container trains, in the formation of which our logistics company from Orsha participated, have begun to regularly run to the city of Nanchang. The city of Nanchang has established partnership relations with the city of Orsha, and the city of Fuzhou with Polotsk.

Undoubtedly, the pandemic has had a negative impact on the issues of activating our interregional cooperation. It is extremely important for us today not only to resume contacts but also to reach a new level of relations.

We are also ready to continue cooperation online and are interested in organizing a meeting during which we can present our leading enterprises, their developments and technologies that may be of interest to each party. These meetings can be targeted and dedicated to the development of agriculture, mechanical engineering, science parks and university developments, - noted Alexander Subbotin.
