Картофельный праздник планируют провести 12 августа с 8.00 до 22.00. Площадкой для него станет одна из центральных локаций областного центра - площадь Свободы (расположена практически напротив Летнего амфитеатра, где на Играх пройдут соревнования юных мастеров муай-тай). К участию в гастрономическом фестивале пригласили все районы, города Витебской области.
Национальные блюда из картофеля представят на специальной выставке, во время форума пройдут конкурсы по различным номинациям. Вполне возможно, что здесь представят не только блюда белорусской кухни. Чтобы посетители могли на месте отведать лакомства, на площади установят небольшие летние кафе.
Картошку в пробирках покажут Витебский зональный институт сельского хозяйства НАН Беларуси. Речь о новых сортах этой культуры.
"Фестиваль позволит показать гостям наш национальный колорит. Делаем его легким, вкусным и интересным. Готовятся специальная ростовая кукла, логотип, дома ремесел продумывают варианты сувенирной продукции. Прорабатывается и концертная программа с участием белорусских творческих коллективов, а к вечеру - молодежная программа с диджеем. Такой фестиваль областного масштаба мы проведем впервые и прикладываем все усилия, чтобы он прошел на достойном уровне, - отметили в управлении. - Форум станет очередным витком в развитии гастрономического туризма. Гостям нужно показывать, чем богат наш край. Ведь не все знают, что в каком-либо районе Витебской области можно попробовать уникальные блюда по особым рецептам. Гурманы, возможно, после отправятся в этот регион".
Кафе Витебска рекомендуют на 12 августа пересмотреть меню и отдать приоритет картофельным блюдам - так гости города смогут попробовать такие яства не только на площади Свободы, но и в любой точке областного центра.
The regional festival "Bulba-Kartoshka-Potatoes" will be held in Vitebsk during the II Games of the CIS Countries. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Department of Sports and Tourism of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.
The potato festival is planned to be held on August 12 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. One of the central locations of the regional center, Freedom Square (located almost opposite the Summer Amphitheater, where competitions of young Muay Thai masters will be held during the Games), will become the venue for it. All districts and cities of the Vitebsk region have been invited to participate in the gastronomic festival.
National potato dishes will be presented at a special exhibition, and competitions in various nominations will be held during the forum. It is quite possible that not only Belarusian cuisine dishes will be presented here. To allow visitors to taste the delicacies on site, small summer cafes will be set up on the square.
The Vitebsk Zonal Institute of Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will showcase potatoes in test tubes. This refers to new varieties of this crop.
"The festival will allow us to show our national flavor to guests. We are making it light, tasty, and interesting. A special mascot, logo are being prepared, and craft houses are considering souvenir options. A concert program with the participation of Belarusian creative groups is also being worked out, and in the evening - a youth program with a DJ. We are holding such a regional-scale festival for the first time and are making every effort to ensure it is held at a decent level," the department noted. - The forum will be another step in the development of gastronomic tourism. We need to show guests what our region is rich in. After all, not everyone knows that unique dishes with special recipes can be tried in some district of the Vitebsk region. Gourmets may then travel to this region."
Vitebsk cafes are recommended to revise their menus for August 12 and give priority to potato dishes - this way, city guests will be able to try such delicacies not only on Freedom Square but also anywhere in the regional center.
The II CIS Games will be held in Belarus from August 4 to 14. The northern region will host Muay Thai competitions in Vitebsk and boxing in Orsha.
