The Vitebsk Free Economic Zone celebrated its 25th anniversary
REFERENCE: Decree of the President of Belarus No. 458 "On the Establishment of the "Vitebsk" Free Economic Zone" was signed on August 4, 1999.
Over a quarter of a century, the free economic zone has gone through a period of formation and development. As a result, today 55 resident enterprises are successfully developing in the "Vitebsk" FEZ, and this platform can confidently be called the cradle of innovative production.
– Everything most advanced and successful originated in the free economic zone. Leading enterprises started their journey here. May the "Vitebsk" FEZ attract even more investments, grow more successful enterprises, create more jobs, and allow the Vitebsk region to be declared an even more successful and high-tech region in its next 25-year period of development, – noted the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin.
The head of the administration of the "Vitebsk" FEZ, Mikhail Skurat, does not hide the main secret of success. It is all about the continuous modernization of production. This is evidenced by the fact that resident enterprises use profits for the development of their own facilities.
Alexander Subbotin was awarded a badge in honor of the 25th anniversary of the administration of the "Vitebsk" FEZ.
The agenda, in addition to dozens of congratulations and sincere wishes, was substantial. The head of the administration of the "Vitebsk" FEZ set the tone for the discussion at the forum. Mikhail Skurat shared his vision on how to increase the efficiency of free economic zones in today's realities. Three important areas that deserve attention were identified: increasing information support, intensifying work with friendly countries, and developing infrastructure.
The FEZ "Vitebsk" has plenty of plans for the future. The nearest ones include visits to Russian regions, as well as business trips to China and Iran.
