Tatsiana Tumanova has been re-elected as the Chairperson of the Board of the Vitebsk Regional Branch of the Belarusian Peace Foundation Public Association

The public association "Belarusian Peace Foundation" is one of the oldest and most authoritative public movements in the country, which, based on voluntary contributions and donations, supports, organizes and conducts anti-war and peacekeeping actions, and carries out extensive propaganda and information and explanatory work. The goals of the BPF are to strengthen peace, friendship, mutual understanding and harmony between people and peoples, and to promote and implement the ideas of mercy and humanism.

The Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev, highly praised the activities of the association.

“Today there are many organizations that deal with issues of preserving memory, working with youth and the older generation, and social support. But the Peace Foundation manifests itself most vividly in all these areas,” noted Vladimir Terentyev. “Throughout its existence, it has implemented many projects, and recently it has been manifesting itself comprehensively – in the work on perpetuating the memory of fallen soldiers, installing memorials, assisting peacekeepers, and educating youth. Thanks to the initiative of the foundation, 12 peace schools operate in the regions. The "Care" project is aimed at working with people who lack attention and participation. The Peace Foundation can be called one of the pillars of our civil society.”
