One third of all export deliveries from the Vitebsk region are to Russia

Despite the fact that last year the Vitebsk region supported foreign trade operations with almost 110 countries, the Russian Federation was and remains a strategic partner. As reported by sb.by, Valentina Glebko, Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Economy Committee, stated that exports of goods to the Russian Federation are constantly growing:

– The share of the Russian Federation in the region's export volume is 32.3 percent. The growth rate is over 116 percent. Food supplies have increased by almost a quarter. Today, they account for almost 27 percent of the total volume of goods exported to the Russian Federation.

Thanks to new cooperation agreements with Russian regions and an ever-expanding geography, industrialists from Vitebsk region are concluding promising long-term contracts with foreign partners from the neighboring country and already have a good order portfolio for 2023.
