Participants of the "NOT boring NOT lecture" in Orsha: everything is close and in youth language

Участники "НЕскучной НЕлекции" в Орше: все близко и на молодежном языке
"A good meeting format, everything is clear, relatable, and in youth language." This was the opinion shared with journalists by the participants of the "Non-Boring Non-Lecture," which took place at the "Unity Marathon" at the Orsha State Mechanical-Economic College, reports a BELTA correspondent.

At the meeting with Deputy Minister of Education Ekaterina Petrutskaya, the students discussed the theme of choice – personal, fateful, and one that affects people's destinies. What is better – a wafer or a mandarin, listening to the "Non-Boring Non-Lecture" standing or sitting, changing one's choice upon learning about its consequences? What is choice in a person's life, what responsibility does it require? How to choose a friend and not regret it? Who will be voting for the first time in the presidential elections of Belarus at the end of January 2025? Ekaterina Petrutskaya and the students discussed various issues, communicating in a relaxed atmosphere.

The participants of the "Non-Boring Non-Lecture" really enjoyed the interactive activities and games that engaged the students in dialogue and made them think about the responsibility a person bears when making any decisions. Stanislav Tavchikov said that he considers his admission to the college to be the most successful choice in his life. "We were here on an excursion, and I immediately realized that this was the place for me. I heard about how many interesting things there are here, and I decided that I would enroll. This is my conscious choice, and I have never regretted it. At the 'Non-Boring Non-Lecture,' I was struck by the statement that one should evaluate their choices and think about their consequences, because if you make a mistake, it can have repercussions. In life, there are many moments when you have to make difficult decisions. After that, you often think that you could have done things differently. Everything at today's meeting is very interesting to me; our guests are very charismatic, and their words touch something very close within," the young man shared.

Diana Fedartsova is studying law at college. At the "NOT boring NOT lecture" she was impressed by both the topic and the speaker. "I really liked it when we talked about famous people and their achievements. Their success is very motivating. Our college holds various meetings, but this is the first time on such a global scale. Ekaterina Petrutskaya is very close to us, children, she tells us everything in a youthful language, everything is clear and interesting. You want to sit and listen, forgetting about time," the girl shared.

Her choice of college is also quite curious. Diana is originally from Zhodino. In the ninth grade, thinking about her future profession, she became interested in secondary vocational education institutions. After studying information on the internet, the girl decided that she was attracted to both Orsha and the college itself. "I haven't regretted my choice for a single day. I would like it to be the same in the future," said the future lawyer.

At the event, those who were among the first to register for the "NOT boring NOT lecture" received tickets to the concert "Time Has Chosen Us," which will take place at the Orsha Ice Arena on December 7.
