A training center for precision agriculture technologies has opened at the Ulla Lyceum of Agricultural Production

A training center for studying "Precision Agriculture" technologies has been opened at the Ulla State Vocational Lyceum of Agricultural Production named after L. M. Dovator. Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Nikolai Sherstnev, heads and representatives of leading enterprises of the region were introduced to the elements of the new technology and the economic effect of its implementation during a seminar-meeting organized at the educational institution. Issues related to personnel training for the agro-industrial complex were also discussed here.

— Today we must think about the future of the village. Such a center will allow us to train specialists who can work with the most modern equipment, — noted Nikolai Sherstnev. — Precision agriculture technology will help make the labor of workers about 20% more efficient, and consequently reduce the cost of agricultural products.

Considering that the lyceum has the largest training farm in the region (over 1800 hectares of arable land), possesses a serious technical base and strong human resources, it was decided to organize such a training platform on its basis.

The main goal of the training center is to modernize the educational process, study precision agriculture technologies in order to increase the efficiency of agricultural work at each stage. Currently, a full set of equipment for modern land cultivation has been purchased. It is planned that specialists from the regions of the oblast will undergo internships here.
