A new store has opened in the village of Dolzha, Vitebsk region

В деревне Должа Витебского района открылся новый магазин
Residents of the village of Dolzha, Vitebsk district, received a wonderful gift for the May holidays. A modern store has opened here.

As noted by the chairman of the Mazolovo village council, Alexander Artyomenko, the settlement is large, with about 700 people living in the village. In season, many vacationers come to the lake, and there are also many summer residents.
– Currently, part of the Sosna lake beach is being improved for people with disabilities. So, the demand for retail facilities is high. The store, opened by the Polotsk market of the Vitebsk regional consumer union, meets modern standards and is in no way inferior to urban ones. I think people will be satisfied, – said Alexander Artyomenko.

By the way, for the Polotsk market, this is already the fourth store in the Vitebsk district. Previously, retail outlets were opened in Novka, Luzhesno, and Mazolovo.

Many residents of Dolzha came to the store opening as if it were a holiday. They brought their children and larger shopping bags.

And they were not mistaken – indeed, not only the assortment of goods pleased, but also the prices – lower than those of private sellers. A tasting of sausage products was organized for visitors, and the first buyer received a gift – a box of chocolates from the chairman of the board of the regional consumer union, Tatyana Nazarova.

– The opening of a retail facility in any settlement primarily improves people's quality of life. This store, with an area of over 500 square meters, offers a wide selection of everyday goods, including non-food items. You can also order items that are not in stock, – explained Tatyana Nazarova. – Last year, we opened ten new stores. We are changing the service format. Today, 35% of the retail outlets in our network are located in settlements with a population of less than 200 people. According to social standards, it is not mandatory to have a stationary store there; it can be replaced by mobile trade. Therefore, we attach great importance to mobile stores. In any case, we do not leave residents of sparsely populated villages without service.

And the residents of Dolzha shared their impressions of the new store and carried home bags with purchases.
