In the first quarter, the Vitebsk region increased its livestock production

Vitebsk region successfully completed the winter stall period for livestock and increased livestock production. This was stated by the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin, at a meeting on rural development and increasing the efficiency of the agricultural sector, held on April 16 by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

According to the head of the region, despite some shortage of feed caused by last year's drought, there were no major problems. Now about 300 herds of cows are already grazing.

Vitebsk region successfully completed the first quarter in the field of animal husbandry.

Milk production is 110 percent compared to the corresponding period last year, – noted Alexander Subbotin. – Cattle breeding is 103%, poultry and pigs are 107%, egg production is 132%.
