1925 residents of the Vitebsk region joined the "second pension" savings program
The press conference with the participation of the General Director of the State Enterprise "Stravita" Sergey Andrievich was recently dedicated to the issues of implementing this program in the regions of the republic and some results over the past period. He recalled that since October 1 last year, a well-established mechanism has been in place: every working citizen who has less than 3 years left until reaching the generally established retirement age and for whom contributions to the Social Protection Fund are paid has the opportunity to conclude a program agreement with state co-financing.
According to the terms of the agreement, the employee determines the rate of their own contributions (from 1% to 10% of their salary): for rates from 1% to 3%, the employer is obliged to contribute a proportional amount; for rates from 4% and above, the employer invariably contributes 3%. — Additional pension insurance is an excellent opportunity to take care of your own financial well-being in retirement, to maintain your usual standard of living after ceasing work. It is gratifying that the possibilities of pension insurance are also expanding, — noted Sergey Andrievich.
As for the Vitebsk region, statistics on additional funded pension insurance indicate the following results: as of March 15 of the current year, 1925 insurance contracts were concluded. The 6% rate (3+3) is particularly popular among residents of the Vitebsk region — 74% of citizens who concluded contracts chose it. The second place is occupied by the 2% rate (1+1) — 10%. Other popular rates were 4% (2+2) and 8% (5+3) — their share of the total number of concluded insurance contracts was 7% and 6%.
In almost half a year, it has become clear that women conclude insurance contracts more often: they account for 67% of contracts, while men do so 2 times less often — 33%. Almost half of all those who concluded contracts are people aged 48 to 57 years. At this stage, only 16% of contracts are concluded by citizens online, while the majority preferred to do it in the classic way — at the office.
