Children in the spotlight!

From August 19, the Ministry of Emergency Situations' information and outreach campaign "Children in Focus!" will start in the republic and will last until September 13. The campaign aims to draw public attention to the problem of injuries and deaths of children from external causes, including fires due to their being left unattended.

The first stage will take place from August 19 to 30. This period for the campaign launch was not chosen by chance: in the last ten days of August, a busy time begins for parents and their children – the completion of preparations for the new academic year. That is precisely why the main target audience with whom rescuers will actively work will be parents, and the places for communication with them will be shopping areas and places where children's goods are sold (school bazaars, fairs). For example, in departments with children's clothing in large shopping centers and other retail outlets, sets of children's firefighter combat clothing will appear on mannequins and hangers, and in stationery departments – fire extinguishers and autonomous fire alarms. All attributes will be accompanied by an information carrier with a tag bearing the slogan "For unattended children." As experts, you can meet employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, who will talk about safety rules, help purchase not only school supplies but also invaluable knowledge, and as a pleasant bonus – hand out bright brochures, booklets, memos, and "Tips from the Ministry of Emergency Situations for Parents and Children" to everyone.

Parents and children, when buying school uniforms and stationery, will also be able to test their knowledge of safety rules in everyday life. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will offer children to take the "Safety Exam," which is relevant at the beginning of the academic year.

The second stage will last from September 2 to 13. The venues for the events will be institutions of the first stage of general secondary education. Rescuers will attend festive assemblies and also conduct thematic "Safety Lessons" with children.

Also, Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will take part in conducting parent-teacher meetings, at which special attention will be paid

will be focused on ensuring safe living conditions for children, teaching them the rules of safe behavior at home and on the street, as well as in an interactive format, parents will be reminded of the rules for using a fire extinguisher and the algorithms for providing first aid.

Join the campaign and make this period happy and safe for your children!
