The updated building of the Faculty of Pedagogy was opened at VSU named after P. Masherov
The Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, noted the importance of the reconstruction, emphasizing that for only three million rubles, it was possible to restore the building, which is an architectural monument of the 19th century.
– This is not just an academic building, but a place where more than 600 students study. It is here that 300 foreign students will study, forming their own idea of our country and education, – said the head of the region.
The Rector of PSU, Professor Valentina Bogatyreva, added that the building, built in 1892, has a rich history. It served as a place of study for various educational institutions, including a male theological seminary and a party school.
– Today, students are studying here in specialties related to music, choreography, preschool, and inclusive education. We are preserving traditions and developing them, providing a modern material and technical base, – she noted.
The renovated building includes three floors with modern lecture halls and an assembly hall, as well as a recording studio, allowing students to develop their creative abilities. Student successes, such as winning the popular project "Star Path," confirm the high level of student training and the professionalism of the faculty.
Incidentally, very recently, the names of VSU pedagogical faculty students Anna Stoyan and Klim Astramovich became known throughout the country thanks to their victory in the popular ONT project "Star Path." This significant achievement did not go unnoticed, and Alexander Subbotin and Valentina Bogatyreva congratulated the students on it.
The opening of the pedagogical faculty building was an important step in strengthening VSU's educational traditions and creating a comfortable environment for training future educators.
