Vitebsk honored the best employees of the regional department of the State Committee of Forensic Expertise

A ceremonial event dedicated to the Day of the Forensic Expert and the ninth anniversary of the establishment of the State Committee of Forensic Examinations of the Republic of Belarus was held in Vitebsk.

Among the honored guests who gathered at the regional philharmonic hall were representatives of local authorities and various departments.

On April 22, 2013, the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a Decree on the establishment of the State Committee of Forensic Examinations. Annually, on this day, the employees of the department celebrate their professional holiday.

An exhibition from the funds of the regional museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union Minay Shmeryov about the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War was presented in the foyer of the cultural institution.

During the solemn part, the best employees of the Department of the SCSE for the Vitebsk region were awarded with certificates of honor and letters of gratitude.

"Objectivity, honor, fatherland - these are the main definitions of the fidelity of service of a Belarusian forensic expert to their state and its people. One of our priority areas is to meet the needs of law enforcement agencies in conducting examinations to minimize the investigation periods of criminal cases conducted in the Vitebsk region," emphasized the head of the department, Colonel of Justice Andrey Pozdnyakov.

The attendees were congratulated by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. "You not only help to find the truth in the most complex criminal stories, protect the innocent, but also contribute to the realization of the country's scientific potential by performing a significant part of specialized research," noted Alexander Subbotin.

Over 9 years, the SCSE Department for the Vitebsk region has conducted more than 382 thousand examinations.


The celebration continued with a concert program prepared by artists of the Vitebsk Regional Philharmonic.

"VV" Reference. Expert conclusions are the most important sources of evidence. For most criminal cases, it is impossible to establish the truth without them. Private individuals and organizations can also apply for expertise. Among the population, the most in-demand are paternity testing, expertise of identification markings of vehicles, and psychiatric examination before real estate transactions.
