In Vitebsk, the best enterprises, managers, specialists, and winners of professional skills competitions among youth were awarded
In 2023, regional professional skills competitions ProfSkills Belarus were held in secondary vocational education institutions across 21 competencies. The competition tasks included performing work using modern tools, equipment, and technologies used in the industries, as well as taking into account the requirements of ProfSkills Belarus. In total, more than 80 students from secondary vocational education institutions took part in the competition, demonstrating high theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The winners of the regional stage represented the Vitebsk region in the final stage of the competition on May 15 and 16.
– Today we have awarded the best of the best – those young people who have achieved a lot in professional skills. They are talented and do not rest on their laurels. Such individuals will become wonderful professionals in their field. They will forge victories and achievements, glorifying both the region and the country as a whole, – noted Vyacheslav Durnov, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee.
An international professional skills competition in the "Fashion Technology" and "Electrical Installation" competencies, involving students from colleges in the Vitebsk and Pskov regions, took place at the forum site over two days. Thus, diplomas of the 1st degree in the "Electrical Installation" competency were awarded to Ilya Polyakov, a student of the Vitebsk State College of Electronics, and Vladislava Vorobyova from the Vitebsk State Industrial-Technological College, in the "Fashion Technology" competency.
– It is gratifying to note that representatives of the younger generation were among the first to receive awards. The potential demonstrated today by our educational institutions in collaboration with enterprises indicates that Vitebsk region has a future and the region will continue to develop. It is also important that Vitebsk competencies are very strong today, and we have real opportunities for their self-realization, – emphasized the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee, Anzhelika Nikitina.
34 product items from 19 organizations in the region were recognized as winners of the "Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus" competition.
Awards were presented to eight enterprises of the region, which became laureates of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Prize for achievements in quality in 2022, as well as to the winners of the Vitebsk Regional Union of Employers competition for the awarding of honorary titles "Best Manager of the Year of the Vitebsk Region" and "Best Specialist of the Year of the Vitebsk Region".
Summarizing the XI International Economic Forum "Innovation. Investment. Prospects", Anzhelika Nikitina emphasized that it was held in a broader format compared to the previous year. In 2024, at the economic forum in Vitebsk, organizers plan to place presentation platforms of enterprises from various countries next to the industrialists of the northern region so that they can demonstrate their potential.
– There were more participants in the sections than ever before. About 70 enterprises joined the international economic forum online. Topics of cooperation and integration were discussed very closely. It is already evident today that there are certain intentions for cooperation in terms of food and flax product supplies, and agreements on the supply of Vitebsk elevators. People communicated and exchanged contacts on various platforms, – noted Anzhelika Nikitina.
This forum is held not only for foreign economic activity and cooperation with the regions of Russia, Asian countries, or the PRC. There are many locations for youth, which are demonstrated by educational institutions. This indicates that the Vitebsk region is developing, and enterprises and organizations have the competencies for young people to stay and work in the region.
