A regional media center has been opened in Vitebsk
The Media Center will become a platform for training representatives of the media, local authorities, and youth. Meetings with speakers, seminars, conferences, workshops, and training sessions will be held here, where specialists will exchange experience both in interacting with the media and in developing the media sphere of regional, city, and district print publications.
For schoolchildren involved in interest groups with a journalistic focus, students and faculty of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov will conduct master classes, including those on video content creation. The university has extensive experience in this field.
"Regarding the development of the media center, we plan to create a training laboratory on its basis, which will be equipped with all the necessary equipment for work, including in online mode. In general, we expect this platform to bring together representatives not only of state media, but also of the blogosphere. I think we can mutually enrich each other in the information sphere," said Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the Regional Executive Committee.
During the opening of the media center, which was attended by the Minister of Information of Belarus Vladimir Pertsov, print publications presented their developments and talked about how they conquer the media space.
The Head of the Ministry of Information congratulated the participants of the solemn event. "We will analyze the experience of the Vitebsk Region Media Center and replicate it in other regions," he noted.

Participants of the event, including heads of districts and regional media, discussed issues of interaction between mass media and local authorities. The Minister of Information emphasized that in matters of covering both the ideology of the state and the personal problems of citizens, there can be no so-called "petty topics": "We must move away from this concept. There are no petty topics; both state-scale topics and issues of a leaking roof in a house are important. In general, we must meet the needs of our residents in obtaining objective and prompt information about life in the regions, the problems that arise, their solutions, and how these solutions will affect the life of every person."
