In Vitebsk, City Polyclinic No. 5 was reopened after renovation
– This is truly symbolic, as teams that worked in different locations have united, reunited, – noted the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin. – An important social facility has been renovated and restored with budget funds; it has everything needed to provide quality medical care. The facility can receive about 300 patients per shift. For this purpose, it has modern equipment and all necessary structural units. It is important that the treatment process will take place in a beautiful building. This will enhance the comfort of working conditions for medical professionals, and thus will affect the quality of services provided.
Alexander Subbotin presented the head of Vitebsk City Clinical Center with a certificate for 45,000 rubles for the purchase of medical equipment to furnish two offices of the polyclinic.
The renovation of the three-story building for the polyclinic at 6 Kommunisticheskaya Street lasted for 10 months. In addition, the facility has been fully informatized, including the installation of local area networks and the creation of 60 automated workstations; modern medical equipment, medical and office furniture have been purchased. A new parking lot has been built, and the adjacent territory has been landscaped. 2.5 million rubles from the regional budget were spent on these purposes.
The polyclinic provides primary outpatient medical care to the adult population of Vitebsk and Vitebsk District, numbering over 23,000 people.
The renovated polyclinic comprises 4 structural units: two general practice departments, a surgical and a general polyclinic department with offices for a neurologist and an endocrinologist; a pre-medical, a procedure, a vaccination, and a women's examination room. There are also rooms for medical examinations and prevention. The institution is staffed with an emergency medical care team with a vehicle. If necessary, hospitalization is provided, and home-based inpatient care is organized.
New equipment has been purchased for the polyclinic's opening at the new address. For functional diagnostics, the polyclinic is equipped with an ultrasound machine, a bicycle ergometer, a Holter monitoring system, a spirograph, and more. A new X-ray machine has been installed. The medical facility implements the "Caring Polyclinic" concept. It is possible to book appointments with specialists online and issue electronic prescriptions. Software has been installed for maintaining electronic medical records and connecting to the unified city polyclinic network, which will significantly improve the systematization of documentation and its exchange among specialists.
