A test event was held in Vitebsk on the eve of the II CIS Games
The head of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism, Sergei Kovalchuk, familiarized himself with the conditions in which the competitions in Thai boxing at the II Games of the CIS Countries will be held, and noted:
- Everything is perfectly prepared, the arena is in excellent condition. The scenario plan for the opening ceremony and awarding of winners – everything is thought out to the smallest detail. I am very grateful to the people of Vitebsk who were involved in the preparation, and to the Thai boxing federation, and to all the organizers. I think this will be one of the best arenas in the republic for these competitions.
Test fights are being held in the ring. Students from the kickboxing and Thai boxing departments of Vitebsk sports schools are participating in them. Artists from the Vitebsk Culture Center perform during the breaks between fights.
Tents have been set up, housing law enforcement officers and other services. In short, the situation of holding competitions has been fully simulated.
