On September 17, 23 babies were born in the Vitebsk region

On the Day of National Unity, 23 children were born in the Vitebsk region: 13 girls and 10 boys, reported Nikolai Kaspirovich, Deputy Head of the Main Department of Healthcare of the Regional Executive Committee.

"In the Vitebsk region, 23 children were born on September 17, including 4 at the regional maternity hospital. And here we have established a new tradition - to congratulate children born on the Day of National Unity, express warm words and give symbolic gifts," said Nikolai Kaspirovich.

At the regional maternity hospital, three mothers from Vitebsk and one from Tolochin were congratulated on the birth of their babies on this day. It was a pleasant surprise for the women. They feel well after childbirth.

The regional maternity hospital has been helping women with COVID-19 for almost a year. Pregnant women from all over the region are hospitalized here. The institution has developed an algorithm for managing gynecological and pregnant patients. The maternity hospital has a PCR laboratory, which allows for rapid diagnosis of coronavirus in mothers and babies. Each newborn is placed in a transport incubator and delivered to a special department. Medical staff make every effort to prevent the baby from being infected.
