In the Vitebsk region, 45 cases of fallen trees were recorded due to bad weather. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

"According to operational data, the roofs of 27 residential buildings, 4 utility buildings, and 10 social and cultural facilities were damaged. 45 cases of fallen trees were recorded in the Rossony (25 cases), Polotsk (7), Vitebsk (7), Liozno (3), and Senno (1) districts. In the Polotsk district, 2 cases of trees falling onto the roadway were recorded, forming blockages with a total length of 800 m. The delay in vehicle traffic was 2 hours and 45 minutes. 60 cars were damaged by roofing elements and fallen trees in the Rossony district," the press service said.

A woman was unblocked from under a fallen tree by rescuers and hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.

According to Belenergo, during the day, the power supply to 210 settlements, 14 agricultural buildings, and 574 transformer substations was periodically disrupted in the Vitebsk region. Outages are promptly eliminated by emergency crews. As of 6:00 AM on August 3, 10 settlements and 15 transformer substations in the Polotsk and Rossony districts remain without electricity.
