In the Vitebsk region, 88.4% of the areas have been threshed

As of the morning of August 19, grain and leguminous crops have been threshed on 88.4% of the cultivated area in the Vitebsk region.

According to the regional agricultural production department, 257.3 thousand hectares have been harvested, yielding 592.8 thousand tons with a productivity of 23 centners per hectare. The best performance was recorded in the Orsha district (37.3 centners/ha) and Vitebsk district (33.2 centners/ha).

The threshing of spring rapeseed has begun, yielding an average of 17.6 centners per hectare.

85.3 thousand hectares (29%) of soil have been plowed for sowing winter crops for the 2025 harvest. Rapeseed has been sown on 43 thousand hectares (71.7%).

Flax pulling is nearing completion, with 6.5 thousand tons of flax straw harvested at an average grade of 0.97.

Corn harvesting has commenced, with a green mass yield of 234 centners per hectare. Overall, since the beginning of fodder preparation, 14.41 centners of feed units per conventional head of cattle have been procured (compared to 9.51 centners of feed units on the same date in 2023).
