A large multi-brand machine-building plant is planned for construction in the Vitebsk region
"Vitstroytekmash" is a young, actively developing, and self-sufficient enterprise. It is located in the regional center and is widely known as "Machine-building company 'Vitebsk Elevators'", which is now part of a holding company. In less than 20 years, Vitebsk machine builders have managed to evolve from a small service enterprise for repairing lifting equipment to a major manufacturer of special machinery, employing about 330 people today.
– The secret to success is the desire to keep up with the times and adapt to customer needs. The existing modern equipment allows us to produce a wide range of utility and special-purpose machinery for construction and installation work, maintenance of public electric transport and power grids: aerial platforms with a lifting height from 12 to 56 meters, truck cranes with a lifting capacity from 16 to 32 tons, manipulator cranes, garbage trucks, drilling rigs. Recently, we manufactured a combined fire truck based on a four-wheel-drive KamAZ truck, – said Andrey Sidorov. – Our capacity is over 4 thousand units of machines and equipment. We are capable of performing any work in our field, from design to conducting necessary tests and launching mass production.
"Vitstroytekmash" demonstrates strong economic performance: production volumes this year have increased by 60% compared to the same period in 2022, and wages have risen by more than a third.
– Over 10 thousand sq. m of additional production facilities have been commissioned. More than 5 million dollars have been spent on the purchase of high-efficiency technological equipment. Dozens of jobs have been created. We actively participate in many government programs, implement social projects, including assisting kindergartens and schools. We also interact with the best universities in Belarus and Russia to develop innovative equipment within the framework of research and development work in partnership with them, including those related to import substitution, – noted the General Director. – We pay great attention to career guidance activities: the reality is that future employees need to be nurtured from school age. Therefore, my colleagues and I are frequent guests at educational institutions, we organize excursions for them to the enterprise so that they understand what machine builders of various specialties do.
ChUP "Vitsstroitekhmash" is known far beyond Belarus and is a corporate partner of leading truck manufacturers in the CIS: MAZ, KamAZ, Ural, GAZ, UAZ. Its products are in demand in Russia, Central Asian countries, and other regions.
– We are not going to rest on our laurels. For example, we plan to start building a multi-brand machine-building plant in the territory of the FEZ "Vitebsk" soon. It will create about 300 new jobs and several production facilities for the manufacture of the latest hydraulic systems, vans, and lifting equipment (overhead, gantry, tower, jib cranes). The workshops will occupy over 20 thousand sq. m, – emphasized Andrey Sidorov. – The sanctions imposed against Belarus do not affect the enterprise's activities because we are used to being technologically independent. For example, our lifts today contain only 8% of imported parts. But this is not the limit: we are developing production to eliminate the need to purchase anything abroad. In addition, restrictions from the West have reduced competition in our traditional market, which has contributed to an increase in orders and the expansion of their geography.
