The number of unemployed in the Vitebsk region has decreased by almost 15%
As of April 1, 2021, 1448 people were registered as unemployed, which is 14.8 percent less than on April 1, 2020 (1699 people).
The registered unemployment rate as of April 1, 2021, was 0.3 percent and has not changed compared to April 1, 2020.
As of April 1, 2021, employers reported 7175 job vacancies, which is 4.9 percent less than on April 1, 2020 (7541). The demand for workers in blue-collar professions accounted for 62.4 percent of the total number of vacancies (on April 1, 2020 – 65.5 percent).
At the same time, there are 5 vacancies per 1 unemployed person.
In January-March 2021, 4205 people applied for employment assistance, of whom 2619 people were registered as unemployed.
Within the framework of the State Program "Labor Market and Employment Promotion" for 2021-2025
in January-March 2021:
• 2931 people were employed in permanent jobs,
• 158 people were sent for training in professions in demand on the labor market,
• 652 people participated in paid public works,
• 8 families of unemployed people were relocated to a new place of residence and work.
