Contestants from six countries are participating in the Vitebsk Leaf Fall
The XXXV open festival of author's song, poetry and visual arts "Vitebsk Listapad — 2021" starts today. It will unite musicians, artists, and performers in a single creative flight.
Continuing the tradition of the previous year, the anniversary forum is held in two formats – real and virtual. This allows musicians, poets, and singer-songwriters from six countries – Belarus, Israel, Latvia, New Zealand, Russia, and Ukraine – to participate in the festival, even in the conditions of a pandemic and closed borders.
The festival opens with a poetry tournament, in which not only the finalists of the poetry competition but also everyone who wishes, including jury members and journalists, can take part. In the evening, the concert "Time of Listapad" will take place, which will delight spectators with soulful music and heartfelt lines in a chamber setting. In addition, today, an exhibition by Vitebsk master Valentina Lyakhovich opens in the foyer of the "Vitebsk" concert hall. Participants of the poetry competition will be able to leave rhymed reviews about their favorite works, which will be read out at the final of the competition, and later will accompany the exhibition.
A rich competition program awaits participants and spectators tomorrow, October 16. Song and poetry competitions will be held simultaneously on different platforms. And in the evening, a gala concert will take place, where selected numbers from the laureates of all nominations and participants of the festival will be performed, and the main intrigue of "Vitebsk Listapad" will be resolved – the jury will choose the winner of the main award "Recognition". The program of the three festival days will conclude with the poetry concert on October 17 "Key to the Seventh Heaven".
