A memorial lesson "Sisters of Khatyn" was held at Vitebsk Medical University
On the eve of the anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy, a memorial lesson "Sisters of Khatyn" was held at VGMU. Its theme was the history of settlements in the Vitebsk region that shared the tragic fate of Khatyn during the Great Patriotic War.
The event was attended by the student active of the BRSM, representatives of the pioneer organization, student detachments, and the older generation.
The participants of the meeting were addressed by Vladimir Babichev, First Secretary of the regional organization of the BRSM, Natalia Boltrushevich, Vice-Rector for Educational and Ideological Work of VGMU, and Irina Shishkova, Director of the Vitebsk Regional Museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union M. F. Shmyrev.
An important moment was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the regional organization of the BRSM and the regional museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union M. F. Shmyrev.
The event was held as part of the republican patriotic project "Flowers of the Great Victory," dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory.
After the memorial lesson, the participants of the discussion joined the republican Open Dialogue "Khatyn – a Shrine of National Memory" online.
