The Vitebsk Regional Children's Home received its first guests as part of the 'Our Children' campaign.

В Витебском областном Доме ребенка принимали первых гостей в рамках акции «Наши дети»
Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko, after the start of the "Our Children" charity event in the Vitebsk region, visited an institution where the youngest Belarusian citizens left without parental care are raised.

The children, together with their caregivers, prepared a festive performance: they rescued Snegurochka, reasoned with Baba Yaga, called for Ded Moroz, danced, and recited poems.

– Not only children, but perhaps even more eagerly, adults await the New Year's celebration, rushing to prepare gifts for the children, – said the Deputy Prime Minister. – Thanks to the efforts of educators who work with the little boys and girls who have found themselves in difficult life situations, their creative abilities are revealed. Children under three years of age recite poems, sing, and dance. Thank you to the team who, regardless of their time, dedicates a significant part of their lives and the warmth of their hearts to these children, especially those in need of love and care. It is gratifying that 42 children from your Children's Home have found families. This is a huge achievement for the state, which does everything to reduce the number of boarding institutions, so that every child feels the comfort of their own home, and that caring mothers and fathers invariably fulfill all the cherished wishes that the children have conceived for the New Year.

The guest did not come to the Children's Home empty-handed – the chief physician of the institution, Elena Mizerkina, was presented with a certificate for the purchase of a refrigeration unit, which will make the food block, equipped with a lot of "smart" equipment, even more convenient and modern. Each child received a sweet gift – they were presented by Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko and Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Vyacheslav Durnov.

And an original painting, on which a New Year tree is composed of children's handprints, will be sent to Minsk – the talented caregivers of the institution prepared such an unusual gift for the distinguished guest.
