More than 260 «Belarus» tractors have arrived in the Vitebsk region

They were solemnly dispatched in three columns from the sites directly at the enterprise itself, in the village of Obchak (Minsk region), and the city of Smorgon (Grodno region). The main departure took place at the main entrance of MTZ. Here, processing enterprises of the Vitebsk region organized a food product exhibition and sale "Kirmash of Festive Mood" for the residents of the capital.

Opening the ceremony, the General Director of MTZ, Vitaly Vovk, called the dispatch of such a batch of equipment a grand event and thanked the processors of the Vitebsk region for showing how labor on the land turns into beautiful products. Vitaly Vovk assured that the machine builders are doing and will continue to do everything possible to improve the quality and enhance the properties of tractors, and the comfort of machine operators. The head of MTZ presented an honorary diploma of the enterprise to the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee for long-term cooperation.

Head of the Belarus President Administration Igor Sergeenko noted that next year the legendary Belarusian enterprise will celebrate its 75th anniversary. Over these years, MTZ has become the face of our country, the "Belarus" trademark is known all over the world. The new equipment will be a good support for the Vitebsk region farmers in growing the 2021 harvest. Part of the funds for the purchase of tractors was allocated in accordance with the decision of the President of Belarus. Igor Sergeenko thanked the leadership of the Vitebsk region and MTZ for the joint organization of the celebration. Such events should not be hidden in everyday life. We have a wonderful country and people who work tirelessly in various fields.

According to the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Ivan Krupko, the shipment of a large batch of tractors has become a landmark event not only for the northern region and MTZ but also for the entire agro-industrial complex of the country. The tractors are supplied as part of planned modernization and re-equipment. For many years, the agro-industrial complex has been one of the key sectors. Based on the results of work for 11 months of this year, the growth rate in all categories of farms was 104.9%. All regions worked with a surplus. For 10 months, products worth $4.7 billion were exported to 106 countries (growth rate compared to the same period in 2019 was 105.4%).

Nikolai Sherstnev emphasized that the success of an agricultural worker primarily depends on the machinery and equipment they use. The new equipment will mainly be intended for young machine operators who successfully work in the fields of the Dvina region. Nikolai Sherstnev expressed hope that similar batches of equipment will be sent to the regions annually. This not only increases productivity but also improves the mood of rural residents.

By the end of the year, MTZ will deliver 354 tractors to the Vitebsk region, with the remaining part being loaded onto railway platforms these days.
