Vitebsk to host Youth Capital relay in March

Vitebsk will solemnly accept the baton of the youth capital in March, as reported to journalists by Tatyana Yanchenko, chief specialist of the department of ideological work and youth affairs of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.

Every year, one of the Belarusian cities becomes the youth capital of the country. In 2022, Vitebsk takes over this status from Grodno. "We anticipate that the event will be scheduled for three days starting from March 10," said Tatyana Yanchenko.

According to her, the organizers do not wish to reveal all the highlights. "The opening ceremony will take place at Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. This will be our main venue. We will warmly welcome guests and begin our three-day work. It will not just be an event, but a celebration of youth," noted the chief specialist.

Tatyana Yanchenko emphasized that the city's youth have been very actively involved in the preparatory work. "There will be surprises. We will have dialogue platforms that will take place in all universities of the city. Each university will bring its own flavor and theme, showcasing achievements and developments. We have something to be proud of and something to show," she said. "We want to treat the program participants with our city theater, which performs plays exclusively in the native language. We would also like to showcase the television and radio company. This will also be a very interesting part of the event, where participants will be directly involved in live broadcasts. We will not forget about young parliamentarians either."

"We all know that Vitebsk is the center of Chagall's art. In addition, we have achievements of world-class sporting significance," added the chief specialist. All of this will be accessible to the guests of the youth capital - 2022.
