Vitebsk region exceeded the plan for summer children's health improvement
– According to preliminary data, since the beginning of the summer campaign, about 41 thousand children have been health-improved, with a plan of 39.4 thousand, – the center informed. – The average occupancy of camps with round-the-clock stay was 100 percent. The plan has been overfulfilled by 4 percent.
In the summer period, 71 round-the-clock camps operated in the region, including 30 stationary suburban health improvement and sports and health camps, 2 camps on leased bases, and 606 facilities with daytime stays for children. In 66 labor and recreation camps, 1227 teenagers rested and worked. The children performed work on landscaping and greening, repair of schools and school furniture, sewing of workwear, plant care, etc. The average salary was 250–460 rubles.
– Special attention was paid to the health improvement of children in need of social protection, – the center emphasized. – Various forms of health improvement activities covered 1811 orphans and children left without parental care, 381 children with disabilities, and 5164 children from large and low-income families. For these categories of children, funds are provided for supplementary payment to the full cost of vouchers at the expense of the regional, district budgets, and the budget of the city of Vitebsk.
The health improvement and employment of teenagers classified as difficult were also under special control. Various forms of health improvement activities and labor activities covered 1062 teenagers.
– In general, the 2021 health improvement campaign in the Vitebsk region was successful, – the center summarized. – This was facilitated by the responsible attitude towards children's health improvement of all interested services, financial investments by the owners of health improvement camps, and assistance from city, district, and regional budgets in preparing the facilities. A total of over 3 million rubles were spent on the preparation of camps in the region.
As previously reported, funds for the preparation of camps for the summer season were allocated for specific work. Thus, at the expense of the republican subbotnik, the roof of the canteen was repaired at the "Lesnaya Skazka" health camp of OJSC "Vitebskhlebprom". At the "Lipki" health camp of SCP "Vitebsk DSK", kitchen equipment was replaced. At the "Lenok" camp of OJSC "Orsha Linen Mill", entrance door groups were replaced. OJSC "Naftan" spent over 1 million rubles on the preparation of the "Kometa" camp, building a luxurious amphitheater for 500 seats, installing an outdoor anti-vandal gym complex, children's playgrounds and towns with slides.
