The Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee is participating in the organization of a humanitarian mission to Tajikistan
At the Machulishchy airfield, Belarusian rescuers have already loaded over 40 tons of humanitarian aid onto an Il-76MD military transport aircraft. The list of goods offered as humanitarian aid was coordinated with the Tajik side. The Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly organized its collection from various organizations of the republic, including from the state material reserve. The cargo includes electric generators, tents, food products, and medical supplies. The military aircraft will fly the route Machulishchy airfield - Gissar (Ayni) airfield in Tajikistan.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that upon arrival, the planes will be met by colleagues from the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, who will subsequently be responsible for distributing the aid to those in need. "The Ministry of Emergency Situations has accumulated significant experience in carrying out similar missions – Belarusian rescuers have delivered humanitarian cargo to various continents more than 70 times," the department noted.

The organization of the humanitarian mission also involves the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry, the Belarusian State Concern for Production and Sale of Light Industry Goods, the State Property Committee, the Brest and Vitebsk Regional Executive Committees, as well as the State Customs Committee. Humanitarian aid is provided by order of the Council of Ministers with the overall coordination of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.-0-
