Vitebsk Cadet School Recognized as the Best in Belarus's Cadet Education System

Vitebsk Cadet School became the best institution in the cadet education system of our country based on the results of the 2022/2023 academic year. For representatives of the northern region, this victory is the third in a row.

Chairman of the Republican Council of the Belarusian Union of Suvorovets and Cadets Sergey Zhitikhin presented the school's director, Guards Colonel Oleg Demidov, with the transitional

prizes – a bust of the hero of the defense of Port Arthur, a graduate of the Polotsk Cadet Corps, Lieutenant General R.I. Kondratenko, and an officer's sword of the 1881 model.

As the school administration reported, a beautiful ceremony of initiation into cadets took place on the same day. More than 70 eighth-graders of the 2023 intake solemnly took the cadet oath. Young men and women with excitement and pride promised to bear this title with dignity, to observe the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, to study diligently, and to strictly follow the school's regulations.

The event was attended not only by teachers and parents of the cadets, who received scarlet shoulder straps and cadet tickets, but also by honored guests. Among them were the leadership and representatives of law enforcement agencies and public associations, as well as graduates of the cadet school from different years. They visited all the platoons, talked with the young cadets, and shared their experiences from their cadet years and cuparatrooper life.

There was also a parade, where cadets from the eleventh-grade platoons demonstrated their skills. 12 cadet platoons and a column of school graduates – cadets of higher education institutions of structures ensuring the country's national security – marched solemnly across the parade ground.
