Vityaz plans to launch serial production of electric boilers in early 2022
The development of a new product range for the diversified enterprise is being carried out within the framework of the campaign launched in Belarus to expand the use of electricity in various fields, including the conversion of the housing stock to heating systems using electricity. Taking into account its production and technological capabilities, "Vityaz" decided to enter the market of electric heating appliances intended for individual housing and apartment buildings. Currently, prototype products are undergoing acceptance tests, which are expected to be completed by the end of 2021, after which the industrial-scale production of the new product will begin.
At this stage, the model range of single-circuit electric boilers includes 3 products with different configurations, including those with a touch screen, as well as different power ratings (from 4 kW to 12 kW) and, accordingly, price categories. In addition, a product control module developed at the enterprise turns it into a "smart electric boiler" and allows for quick integration into a smart home ecosystem. This provides the ability to remotely control the appliance, including monitoring and setting specific operating modes. The manufacturer also plans to expand the product line of this type of product by producing dual-circuit units designed for both room heating and domestic hot water supply. In parallel, work is underway to promote the new product on the market. Thus, agreements have been reached on the implementation of a pilot project using "Vityaz" electric boilers in the construction of a multi-story electric house in the Brest region under the 2022 housing program.
Vitebsk Television Plant "Vityaz" was established in 1976. In 2010, the enterprise was corporatized with a 100% state share in the authorized fund. Today, OJSC "Vityaz" is a diversified enterprise engaged in about 20 types of activities, including the production of television and household appliances, medical equipment, electric charging stations, and other high-tech products, as well as providing a wide range of production services.
In January-September 2021, the enterprise operated with a net profit and positive profitability. The growth rate of production volume by physical volume index exceeded 151%. The enterprise increased product exports by more than 3.5 times and ensured a positive balance of foreign economic activity. The Vitebsk manufacturer has maintained high activity in foreign markets for the fifth consecutive year, keeping the annual growth rate of sales to foreign partners at a level not lower than 200%. The positive dynamics of the foreign economic indicator are ensured across all major positions in the manufacturer's export portfolio, but television receivers remain the main growth driver. Revenue from product sales increased 2.6 times. The average salary at the enterprise increased by 14% since the beginning of the year, while the growth rate of labor productivity exceeds the growth rate of wages. More than 1.2 thousand people work at "Vityaz".
