The second stage of the fifth regional forum for working youth took place in Braslav

The second stage of the fifth regional forum of working youth, held in Braslav, was dedicated to the theme of heritage, which young men and women consider the foundation of the unity of the people and its most active part – youth, as well as historical memory. In this regard, Braslav region is a unique land, generously endowed with beautiful nature, historical and architectural monuments, and authentic culture. The local people have managed to preserve the centuries-old wisdom of the people in traditions, rituals, and crafts, and what threatened to be lost has been revived. The hospitality and diligence of the Braslav residents are well known. The organizers of the forum – the main department of ideological work and youth affairs of the regional executive committee, the regional organization of BRSM, and the Braslav district executive committee – focused the participants' attention on all these aspects of life.

Welcoming the guests, the Chairman of the District Executive Committee Vyacheslav Grishchenko and the Chairman of the District Council Nina Puchinskaya spoke about the implementation of youth policy and initiatives in the district, about the participation of young men and women in socio-political events, cultural and sports life, about the active position of youth, and their desire to contribute to the development of the region and the country.

The youth chamber is working successfully, more than 20 young people are in the personnel reserve, over 140 are engaged in entrepreneurial activities, and the district executive committee has established a scholarship to encourage talented and active youth.

Seminar participants had the opportunity to admire Braslav region from a bird's-eye view from Mayak Mountain, explore the expositions of the Museum of Traditional Culture and the Vidzy College of History and Ethnography, and learn about cheese production at the Braslav workshop of Glubokoye Dairy Plant, as well as the study and living conditions of college students.

In Vidzy, the republican campaign "Restoration of the Shrines of Belarus" was launched at the site of a military burial.

Forum participants shared their thoughts and impressions of what they saw and heard at a dialogue platform. They discussed the importance and significance of unity, heritage, and historical memory in society, as well as the creation of conditions for the development and realization of youth potential, particularly in a promising area for Braslav region like tourism.

With a sense of pride in multiplying the glory of their districts and the entire country through their achievements, actions, and deeds, the forum participants returned home.
