The XXXV open festival of author's song, poetry and visual arts "Vitebsky Listapad" will be held from October 15 to 17.
At a recent press conference held at the Art Space on Tolstogo, 7, organizers announced that 100 participants have already applied for the anniversary festival "Vitebsk Listapad-2021". The traditional creative celebration, as in 2020, will be held in a dual format – in-person and online, with foreign guests primarily performing in Zoom. This year, "Vitebsk Listapad" expects musicians, poets, and singer-songwriters from six countries: Israel, Latvia, New Zealand, Russia, Ukraine, and, of course, from cities in Belarus. They will participate in the competition, which is traditionally held as part of the festival.
This year, for the first time, organizers have expanded the age range for contestants; now, 10-year-old artists can also join "Listapad". They will perform in the vocal and artistic recitation categories.

The Vitebsk "Listapad" will open on October 15 with a poetry tournament in Dukhovskiy Kruglyk. The program for the first festival day includes the bard concert "Time of Listapad" at the Vitebsk Concert Hall.
The personal exhibition "POEM AND I by Valentina Lyakhovich" will also open here, featuring sculptures, art objects, and paintings. The youth theater "Koleso" is preparing a performance for this presentation. The organizers promise an unusual experiment: participants in the poetry nominations of the competition will be invited to compose a quatrain for Valentina Lyakhovich's works. These poetic responses will be presented at the competition finale. For the entire month that the exhibition is open, they will serve as a textual accompaniment to the works of the Vitebsk artist.
The gala concert of laureates of all nominations and the winner of the main festival award "Recognition," along with the awarding of the competition winners, will take place in the round hall of the Vitebsk Concert Hall on October 16. A special feature of this program will be the screening of video clips from winners and jury members who could not attend the festival in person and participated online.
The poetry concert "Key to the Seventh Heaven" by jury members and laureates of the "Poetry" nomination on October 17 will conclude the festival program.
For three days, the "Street Cafe" creative space will operate at the Vitebsk Concert Hall, with access to an open mic, allowing everyone to interact with participants of the festival of author's song, poetry, and visual arts.
