The administrative building of Belarusian Railways in Vitebsk and over 100 other facilities are offered for sale at auction in December
For December, the State Property Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has put up for sale more than 100 unused and inefficiently used state-owned properties.
The most interesting of these, located near the station square in Vitebsk and familiar to every resident, is the three-story administrative building of the Vitebsk branch of the Belarusian Railway, which is being put up for auction in December.
The building itself was constructed in 1960, but after reconstruction in 2010, it was significantly transformed and acquired a modern, attractive appearance.
The complex included ticket offices for regional lines, which have now moved to the main station building. On the ground floor, there is also a grocery store, a hairdresser, and storage facilities.
The second and third floors house a cafe, a confectionery, and administrative offices. Many areas, due to their favorable location, are currently leased out.
The total area of the complex is 2725 sq.m.
The estimated value of the property is over 8 million rubles, making it the most expensive state-owned property put up for sale in recent years.
Since the beginning of the year, the committee has involved 125 unused real estate properties in economic circulation, which has not only facilitated the use of unused state property for regional development but also replenished the state budget by 3.5 million rubles.
