Delegate of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly Olga Shpilevskaya met with the active members of the Vitebsk regional organization of the Belarusian Women's Union
The House of the Belarusian Women's Union should become a center of attraction for women from all over Belarus. This was stated by the chairperson of the union, director of the TRRC "Mir" representative office in Belarus Olga Shpilevskaya during a conversation with journalists at a meeting with a delegation of the Vitebsk regional organization of the BWSM in Minsk. The event took place today, December 3, at the House of the Belarusian Women's Union.
Olga Shpilevskaya noted:
— Our main goal is to make our BWSM House a center of attraction for all women from all over the country. Here we hold not only cultural events, meetings with youth, legal consultations — today women from the Vitebsk region have come to us. There are several reasons: firstly, to present the exhibition of author's dolls "Female Essence". Secondly, to discuss important issues on the eve of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly. During the meeting of the Presidium of the VNС, the Head of State oriented us to discuss as much as possible with the delegates, among whom there are many representatives of our union, and labor collectives, the program of socio-economic development for the next five-year period, because it must be realistic, understandable to everyone, as we will implement it. So our BWSM House is a center not only cultural and social, but also informational. I am glad that this is exactly how it is happening.
The chairperson of the women's union proposed organizing visits to the BWSM House by delegations of activists from different regions.
— We will be happy to welcome everyone and hold meetings with prominent people: they are ready to come to discuss issues important to the guests, — emphasized Olga Shpilevskaya.
The working program of the Vitebsk delegation also includes a discussion of the work of the women's movement in the region, a master class from specialists of the Minsk Palace of Children and Youth on New Year's decor, and excursions to the enterprises "Slodych" and "Kommunarka".
