More than 50 students from the choreography department of Vitebsk Children's Art School No. 1 will take part in a recreational excursion camp in Minsk at the Republican Center for Tourism and Local History of Student Youth from June 3 to 11, the center informed a BELTA correspondent.
A rich excursion program has been prepared for the future ballerinas, with a special emphasis on military-patriotic themes due to the 65th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Thus, excursions to the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the Museum of Aviation Technology named after twice Hero of the Soviet Union S. Gritsevets, as well as a visit to the "Stalin Line" memorial and historical complex will be organized for the girls. The ethnographic part of the program includes excursions to the Museum of Ancient Belarusian Culture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and an introduction to the architecture of the historical center of the capital. The schoolchildren will also visit the National Library of Belarus, the "Ratomka" equestrian sports center, the Palace of Water Sports, and the planetarium. A surprise for the future ballerinas will be their participation as spectators in the graduation concert of the Belarusian Choreographic College, which will be held at the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of the Republic of Belarus. Organizers will also offer schoolchildren climbing lessons directly at the republican tourism center.
A mandatory requirement for camp participants is keeping diaries, where they undertake to record their personal impressions daily and summarize the day's results. At the end of the camp, it is planned to create a collective diary of impressions, which will serve as a kind of report of the excursion camp and will be presented at the school at the end of the summer holidays.
The camp is organized on the initiative of the Vitebsk school. -0-
